Find out about the history of your australian relatives in ww1

Compose a war diary / 1. your items / 1.3 stories
This site is dedicated to my Grandfather, who disappeared after returning from WWI. He fought for my freedom which I know does not come without cost. I am eternally grateful for his efforts and what he stood for. I love you Grandad, good on ya mate. FOR KING & COUNTRY. R.I.P. Albert Alfred Curry.

Stories should be written down so other generations in your family don't forget who these people were and what they stood for.

Pieces of information can come in many ways:

When constructing a War Diary you should write down your own story and interpretation of what you thought happened to a family member or a particular individual that served in the forces.

I almost lost the stories about my Grandfathers. I only found out what happened to them about five years ago. I never realised how close my life had held on by a thread and what a miracle it was that they made it back safe. They fought almost side by side; same Army, same Division, same Brigade and they would have never known that their children would come together and marry and have two children, my brother and I. All the people who served in the first A.I.F helped my family get home. So now you can see why I want to help other people to find their Family War Heritage.

If you would like to donate your story about your Grandfather, Relative or Family Member we have a section on this website called War Stories. Please investigate.
